  2. These directories contain the databases for the Performer
  3. Town and Village demos.

  5. orig/pftown/town.flt -    town database 
  6.             view with: run_town 
  7.  
  8. orig/pfvillage/town.flt - simpler, faster village database
  9.               view with: run_village
  10.  
  11. toon/pftoon/toon.flt -  Faster database remodeled by "Angus"
  12.                 using additive LOD.  Set the LOD scale
  13.                 to 3.75 with the GUI for best results.
  14.             view using: run_toon

  16. These databases include a complete ground and sky (sky box and
  17. terrain) and so should be loaded with the '-T' option to perfly to
  18. reduce unnecessary pixel fill.

  20. The databases will look different when viewed with
  21. /usr/src/Performer/bin/perfly than when viewed as the town and
  22. village demos under buttonfly.  The buttonfly demo does some
  23. specific setup for this database, such as application of detail
  24. texture, which is not done by the generic perfly viewer
  25. (/usr/src/Performe/bin/perfly) that comes with Performer 1.2.
  26. There is a database problem with the street crossing which causes
  27. it to appear blocky.
